The Mosquito Working Group is a collaborative forum bringing together academics, municipal representatives, public health professionals, and policymakers. The primary objective is to share information to better understand the intricate relationship between mosquitoes, climate change, and transmission of diseases across Canada. By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and research, this group strives to expand our understanding and develop proactive strategies to mitigate the potential impact of mosquito-borne diseases across Canada.
This group holds quarterly virtual meetings (facilitated by National Collaborating Centre for Environmental Health and National Collaborating Centre for Infectious Diseases). Our dedicated online platform, on Mighty Networks, allows for engagement in between meetings through the sharing of events, resources, presentations, and opportunities to connect and collaborate.
Membership to this group is by invitation only. If your responsibilities encompass mosquito surveillance, research, or prevention and control, please reach out via email us at [email protected] to request membership.
