To support cross-sector and pan-Canadian collaboration and discussions, the National Collaborating Centre for Environmental Health hosts an online, participant-driven platform to facilitate knowledge sharing and topical discussions related to Healthy Built Environment (HBE) in Canada.
Food Safety Community of Practice
To facilitate pan-Canadian networking, learning, and knowledge exchange, the National Collaborating Centre for Environmental Health hosts an online, participant-driven, Food Safety Community of Practice to facilitate knowledge sharing and discussions among environmental public health professionals, industry and academic experts, and policymakers.
Mosquito Working Group
The National Collaborating Centre for Environmental Health established the Mosquito Working Group to share information to better understand the intricate relationship between mosquitoes, climate change, and transmission of diseases across Canada. This group meets virtually every quarter and engages regularly through an online participant-driven platform to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Emergency and Disaster Readiness Community of Practice
Environmental health emergencies and disasters are events that can negatively impact public health and include oil spills, industrial accidents, and natural hazards such as floods, wildfires, extreme heat events, major storms, and earthquakes. The NCCEH established the Emergency and Disaster Readiness Community of Practice (EDR-CoP) to facilitate knowledge sharing, relationship building, and collaborations that support emergency and preparedness response actions and recovery from events. This group will meet and engage regularly through an online participant-driven platform to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
