The NCCHPP will offer a symposium entitled, What Can Public Health Organizations Do to Improve Their Capacities to Act on Healthy Public Policies? at the Public Health 2024 Conference on April 25.
Presenters will give an overview of strategies available to public health organizations to enhance their capacity to play a bigger role in the promotion, adoption, and implementation of healthy public policies. Based on the NCCHPP’s analysis of the scientific literature and the experiences of Vancouver Coastal Health and Nova Scotia Public Health, presenters will describe a variety of initiatives established by public health organizations.
