Hosted by Radiation Safety Institute of Canada
Join the Radiation Safety Institute of Canada on November 13, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern for a free webinar on the regulation of radon, a naturally occurring radioactive gas and a leading cause of lung cancer after smoking.
Our featured guest, Pam Warkentin, Executive Director of the Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (CARST) and the Canadian–National Radon Proficiency Program (C-NRPP), will share insights into the current regulatory landscape and upcoming building code changes related to radon. Pam is a recognized national expert in radon testing and mitigation, making this an excellent opportunity to learn directly from one of Canada’s foremost authorities. The 40-minute technical session will include a live Q&A with Pam as time permits.
Following this, enjoy a 20-minute wellness break with a beginner Tai Chi session led by Charlmane Wong from Ji Hong Tai Chi and Qi Gong Richmond Hill.
Participants will receive a letter of attendance outlining the topics covered and total session length. Even if you cannot attend live, register to receive access to the recorded webinar and materials once they are available online.
