Power imbalance is a root cause of health inequity. To advance health equity, public health practitioners must be able to recognize and analyze power imbalances and deploy strategies to both build community power and limit the power of those who benefit from inequity.
The NCCDH is hosting two virtual workshops on Power & Health Equity. This is an opportunity to expand on and apply the ideas described in NCCDH recently released Let’s Talk: Redistributing Power for Health Equity. Participants in this hands-on workshop will apply power analysis tools to relevant public health topics based on the Three Faces of Power framework.
The 2-hour workshop will be offered virtually from 12 – 2pm ET on the following two dates:
