In collaboration with the Canadian Health Association for Sustainability and Equity (CHASE), this project will allow municipal staff to identify, prepare for, and minimize the health risks that climate change presents for high-risk populations within Canadian cities.
This project will include knowledge-sharing and capacity-building activities including:
- Webinars
- Case studies
- Workshops
This webinar will inform municipal staff and local stakeholders about:
- the health and health equity risks presented by extreme heat;
- the various ways that municipalities can reduce those health and health equity risks;
- the HPC tool that can be used by municipalities to reduce health inequities in their communities when developing climate change adaptation plans directed at extreme heat.
