Hosted by Collaborative on Extreme Heat Events
Building on three webinars featuring perspectives from across the region on heat and the built environment, early warning systems for extreme heat, and firsthand experiences of the Pacific Northwest 2021 Heat Dome, panelists from King County (Washington), Multnomah County (Oregon), and Vancouver BC will dig deeper as they share insights, challenges, and opportunities related to extreme heat and community partnerships within their jurisdictions. The session will also include a dedicated Q&A segment and/or breakout rooms, providing attendees with an opportunity to engage directly with speakers.
This session's panelists include:
- Sherrie Villmark, Program Director, Community Energy Project
- Magda Szpala, Sustainability and Resilience Director, BC Housing
- Tony Machacha, Capacity Manager, King County Regional Homelessness Authority
