Hosted by Canadian Health Association for Sustainability and Equity
This webinars series features case studies on strategies that are being, or could be, used by public health agencies to address population health, health equity, and climate emissions in their communities.
This fourth webinar will showcase three efforts:
Franca Ursitti, Manager, Peel Public Health, will describe how public health has been addressing health and health equity with their work on green space, parks and tree-planting.
Charlie Mace, Sustainability Planner, City of Powell River, will discuss their On-Demand Transit Pilot project; how it has improved service and health equity in their community.
Leslie Taylor, who works for the Nova Scotia Community Transportation Association (CTA), will describe how intra-municipal and inter-municipal transit service is provided to rural and remote communities throughout NS and how that improves health equity across the province.
