Hosted by the US Environmental Protection Agency
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) prioritizes using high-quality, best available scientific data in its decision-making processes. As part of EPA’s commitment to provide “open data”, the Computational Toxicology and Exposure (CTX) Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) allow access to many of EPA’s computational toxicology and exposure data resources. CTX APIs allow users to access and download information from various databases, such as data used to populate the CompTox Chemicals Dashboard, and effectively integrate data into their workflows. The CTX APIs are publicly available for anyone to access and use. This webinar will cover API basics and highlight available CTX data resources. In addition, this webinar will discuss a new R package, ctxR, which was developed to streamline the process of accessing the information available through the CTX APIs without requiring prior knowledge of how to use APIs.
