Rebecca Goulding, MSc, PhD

Rebecca is an evidence synthesis and medical science communication expert with extensive experience in health economics and outcomes research through working in pharmaceutical management consulting. As a postdoctoral fellow she conducted interdisciplinary research in access to university-based innovation and intellectual property policy at the Sauder School of Business, UBC, and she worked as a primary health care research associate at the Faulty of Medicine, UBC. She holds a PhD in Genetics from the University of British Columbia and an MSc in Oncology/Hematology from Trinity College, Dublin. Throughout her research and consulting career, Rebecca has enjoyed working with interdisciplinary teams to conduct research and translate knowledge on interventions/solutions for complex health problems. At the NCCEH she is applying her combined expertise to a longstanding interest in environmental health and knowledge translation. Her work at the NCCEH currently focuses on climate change driven events involving extreme heat, wildfires, and their impacts on the built environment and disaster response.
