I am a Health Promotion Facilitator for Alberta Health Services. I have worked in the setting of Communities and Neighbourhoods which includes Active Transportation and Built Environment. I currently work in Population, Public, & Indigenous Heath - Healthy Living - Chronic Disease Prevention – Provincial Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour on the WalkABle Alberta project. This project is designed to support rural communities in improving the walkability of their community. WalkABle Alberta facilitates the development of more walkable communities by improving community’s physical and social environment. Various supports are provided to communities based on their specific need. As a facilitator I provide facilitation, advice, and guidance to Alberta Health Services’ community adminstration and local health promoters to continue to improve the health of Albertans. Before working for Alberta Health Services I have worked with: Saskatoon Health Region – Public Health Services – Health Promotion, the YMCA of Saskatoon as the Director of Health, Fitness, and Recreation, a Fitness Consultant for the YWCA, and the City of Saskatoon. I have a Master of Business Administration and am a graduate of the College of Kinesiology. I am a Certified ROI Professional and a Certified Health Executive that I recieved from the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
I look forward to learning more from everyone!
