Every year we commemorate Clean Air Day to raise awareness of how important good air quality is to our health, environment, and economy.
Wildfires are a growing threat to public health and safety, and continue to grow in intensity each year. Wildfire smoke can irritate your lungs, affect your immune system, and make you prone to lung infection, including COVID-19.
This year we've invited BC's top environmental health experts to outline the steps you need to take to protect you health during wildfire season.
Our speaker this year will be Dr. Sarah Henderson (BC Centre for Disease Control), and our moderator will be Dr. Michael Brauer (University of British Columbia).
The virtual talk will be taking place June 2, 2021 from 10am - 11:30am.
Please send questions to our experts in advance. This way we can be sure our experts address your concerns.
